DATTA Queensland is dedicated to the development of Design and Technology education in Queensland schools and includes financial members from across the state, in all sectors of education; primary, secondary and tertiary.
The 2023 Design and Technology Teachers’ Association Queensland annual state conference was held to present innovative ideas that lead to better processes, effective design solutions and stronger teams, with the added benefit of positive emotion for Design and Technology teachers throughout Queensland. Attendees included Design and Technology teachers throughout Queensland from public, private and independent schools with the aim to motivate and inspire all pre-service, primary, secondary and tertiary technology educators.
The conference brought together experts, academics and specialists from a range of disciplines through a program of lectures, small group workspaces and “hands-on” practical workshops that allowed delegates to connect to knowledge, methods, materials, equipment, ideas, trends, resources and personnel to encourage them to highlight, apply and promote Design and Technology education within a QCAA curriculum and beyond through the Australian National curriculum.
